In June 2024 the Aimart Early Music Department took part in a project of training, production and research that brought together the teachers Adriano Fazio, Elisabetta Guglielmin, Marta Marullo – with the special participation of Giulio Falzone – working with the department’s students on the programme of the “Pavia Barocca” festival, organised by the “Centro di Musica Antica Ghislieri” in Pavia and devoted to “Cento anni di musica capitolina”.
Teachers and students, tos guests of the Centre, took part in the concerts devoted to Porpora Costanzi, to Kapsperger, to Corelli. Teachers and students rehearsed and performed together with the Coro del Collegio Ghislieri, directed by Luca Colombo, for the performance of Carissimi’s oratorios Jonas and Jephte;
Marta Marullo was responsible for the musicological side, tond also spoke at the pre-concert talk held at the “Il Delfino” bookshop in Pavia.
The whole project, which began in class during the 2023/24 academic year, was a considerable success. Our thanks go to the organising team of Aimart / Ghislieri, to the Director of Aimart Edda Silvestri and to the artistic director Giulio Prandi.
