From 1990 to 1994 he worked with Claudio Abbado on the “Liriche Sinfoniche” productions of “Ferrara Musica” at the “Teatro Comunale” in Ferrara and in Bolzano.

From 1996 to 1998, at Carlo Maria Giulini’s own wish, he was his assistant.

– Diploma in clarinet (under the former Italian system) with 10/10.

1986 – Conducting course at the Sommerakademie Lilienfeld, Austria.

1991 – Diploma in conducting for opera.

1992 – Conducting course at I Pomeriggi Musicali, Milan.

1993 - Corso di Direzione d'orchestra presso I Pomeriggi Musicali di Milan.

ARTISTIC AND PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE
From 2000 to 2022

he was principal conductor of the Orchestra Lirico-Sinfonica di Roma, with which he conducted operas including Il barbiere di Siviglia, L’elisir d’amore, Don Pasquale, Le nozze di Figaro, Rigoletto, La traviata, Aida, Tosca, La Bohème, Madama Butterfly, Manon Lescaut, Cavalleria rusticana, Pagliacci and Norma, as well as Puccini’s Messa di Gloria, Mozart’s Requiem and numerous symphonic and chamber concerts.

He has been invited as a guest conductor by orchestras including La Fenice in Venice, the Minsk Radio and Television Orchestra, the Zagreb Symphony Orchestra, the Orchestra Mozart, I Solisti di Roma, the Kharkiv Symphony Orchestra, the “Richard Strauss” Chamber Orchestra, the orchestra of the Sommerakademie Lilienfeld and the Budapest orchestra, working with well-known soloists such as Henghel Gualdi, Aldo Ciccolini, Bruno Canino, Uto Ughi, Isaac Stern, Renato Cazzaniga and Dmitri Kharitonov.

In 2003, 2004 and 2019 , in partnership with the Italian Ministry of Cultural Heritage, he was principal conductor for three concert seasons at the National Museum of Musical Instruments in Rome.

From 2003 to 2010he was artistic and musical director of the Teatro San Pietro in Rome, where he conducted numerous operas and concerts.

From 2010 to 2014he was the founder and artistic director of the Offida Opera Festival (Ascoli Piceno).

Dal 2010 al 2014, è stato ideatore e direttore artistico dell'Offida Opera Festival (AP).

COMPETITIONS

In 1994 he won first prize

at the third International Competition for Conductors

he was artistic director of the

Marche Opera Festival 2015 al 2022 è stato direttore artistico di diploma and plaque“For merit in the art of music”, Spoleto Cathedral (1996);

- diploma and gold medal at the University of Rome “La Sapienza” from the international cultural centre FOYER DES ARTISTES, for “having interpreted through his art the spirit of the great composers in Italy and abroad” (2003);

– diploma of merit from the culture department of the municipality of Offida (Ascoli Piceno), which “in just a few years has turned the town of Offida into a little Salzburg, giving us moments of great operatic appeal and musical professionalism” (2011);

- “Il Carlino d’oro” from Il Resto del Carlino, for “the high musical quality of the Offida Opera Festival” (2014).

Under his direction, the Orchestra Lirico-Sinfonica di Roma and the “Richard Strauss” Chamber Orchestra have produced various CDs and DVDs , among them La Bohème, Il barbiere di Siviglia, Rigoletto, The Four Seasons and Perle musicali.

Con l'Orchestra Lirico-Sinfonica di Roma e la Chamber Orchestra "Richard Strauss", sotto la sua direzione, sono stati prodotti vari CD e DVD come: La Bohème, Il Barbiere di Seville, Rigoletto, Le quattro stagioni e Perle musicali.

Also of note is the great success of his conducting of La traviata at Castel Sant’Angelo in Rome.
Worth recalling too are the tours of major Italian cathedrals — Milan, Monza, Spoleto and Loreto — with the Orchestra Lirico-Sinfonica di Roma, the “Richard Strauss” Chamber Orchestra and the “Antonio Salieri” Orchestra of Milan, and the world premiere performance of Father Armando Pierucci’s oratorio for soloists, chorus and orchestra at the Abbey of Chiaravalle di Fiastra (Macerata).

Da ricordare inoltre il grande successo per la direzione dell'opera "La Traviata" presso Castel Sant'Angelo di Rome.

Importante ricordare anche le tournée nelle importanti cattedrali italiane come: Duomo di Milan, Duomo di Monza, Spoleto e Loreto con l'Orchestra Lirico-Sinfonica di Roma, la Chamber Orchestra "Richard Strauss" e l'Orchestra "Antonio Salieri" di Milano e la direzione in prima assoluta dell'Oratorio per soli, coro e orchestra di Padre Armando Pierucci eseguito presso l'Abbazia di Chiaravalle di Fiastra (Macerata).
