Overview
The workshop is aimed at young musicians working towards the composition of original works.
Classes analyse major works of recent decades with accompanying exercises, drawing also on contributions from performers teaching at the Academy, and from outside where appropriate, to explore and experiment with advanced instrumental techniques. Considerable space is given to the use of new technologies for electroacoustic and multimedia composition. The best works produced during the workshop are included in Aimart's public events.
Admissions
There is no age limit.
Two scores composed by the applicant must be attached to the application.
The entrance examination consists of:
1) an aptitude test (written), from which students holding a first- or second-level academic diploma in Composition, Orchestral Conducting or Organ, or equivalent pre-reform diplomas, are exempt.
2) an interview and review of the works submitted.
The teacher has taught composition at the conservatoires of L’Aquila and Florence and currently teaches at the Santa Cecilia Conservatoire. Further information is available on the websites listed below.
