Between 2012 and 2015 she trained as a teaching mentor in the Kovács method at ELTE-PPK University in Budapest. She took her postgraduate qualification in piano, bel canto and chamber music at the Universität für Musik und darstellende Kunst in Vienna, with Thomas Kreuzberger, Eun Ju Lee and Yuko Batik. Other piano teachers contributed to her training, among them Sándor Falvai, Gyöngyi Keveházi, László Gyimesi, Attila Némethy, Tamás Vásáry, Dénes Várjon and Csaba Király, distinguished representatives of the Hungarian piano school, who introduced her to the piano works of Liszt and Bartók and to the method of the Russian piano school. She also studied fortepiano in a masterclass with the legendary Malcolm Bilson.

Dal 2011 dirige il dipartimento di musica da tastiera nella scuola di musica dove insegna. I suoi allievi hanno vinto oltre 300 premi in varie competizioni nazionali e internazionali. Julianna Kiss è fondatrice e direttrice artistica del Festival Internazionale Danubia Talents. Ha tenuto diverse masterclass in Hungary e all'estero.
